You do not need an account to use Curro. Timing, splits, session history, and the built-in tools all work entirely offline, with everything stored locally on your device only. Curro developers have no access to this data, and it is never transmitted anywhere.
An account is optional and only needed if you want to sync your data across devices, run live shared timing sessions, or tag teammates on a workout. You can sign up with Google, Apple, or an email address and password. Creating an account means we store your name, email address, and (if you set one) a username.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers beyond what's needed for account authentication.
Your data is always stored on your device first. If you're signed in, it's also synced to Firebase (Google's app backend infrastructure) so it's available across your devices and, for anything you explicitly share, visible to the teammates you've tagged. Data is not stored anywhere else and is not accessible to anyone outside the app.
When you tag a teammate on a workout, that specific session becomes visible to them and editable by both of you, until either person removes it. Only the people you've explicitly tagged (or who've tagged you) can see a shared session — nothing is shared publicly or with anyone outside the people you've chosen.
Curro uses Firebase (a Google service) to handle account sign-in and data storage for signed-in users. Curro does not use any advertising networks, analytics trackers, or other third-party data collection beyond Firebase's core infrastructure. Curro does not sell or share your data with advertisers.
Curro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, which permanently removes your profile, your synced workout data, and your sharing history from our servers. If you never create an account, all your data lives only on your device and can be removed at any time by deleting the app.
If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
